Biography/Research Interest:

Chris Peditto received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers Unviversity, Camden, New Jersey in 1966, where he majored in Humanities, with a minor in Sociology. His graduate degree (M.A., 1990) is in Communication Studies from California State University-Northridge, where he specialized in rhetoric and performance studies. Before coming to Cleveland College in 2001, he was the Program Director for General Studies at Charles R. Drew Unversity of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, where he taught in the College of Allied Health from 1990-2000. He is the recipient of three National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships and is a published essayist, poet and fiction writer. He is also the editor/publisher of Heat Press, an independent literary press specializing in the publication of poetry.
