| Biography/Research Interest: Dr. Steve
Agocs is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (BA Chemistry
Teaching) and Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Agocs joined the Cleveland Chiropractic College faculty after seven years in private practice and continues to see patients at Kansas City Free Clinic. Dr. Agocs is a clinical educator and
faculty clinician, as well as the instructor for History of
Chiropractic and Technique Systems and the Thompson Terminal Point
Technique elective. Dr. Agocs is involved in ongoing research projects
and is one of two clinicians seeing patients at the multidisciplinary Kansas City Free Clinic in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Agocs is also the author of the Clinic 101 for Chiropractic Interns blog, a regularly updated advice "column" for students in their last year of chiropractic training. |

A word on my class notes... student versions below are missing key slides, pictures, movies, etc. This requires you to take notes during class and will help you stay focused in class. Lectures are available below as PowerPoint presentations (.PPT) for your to take notes directly in or to print and use. If you have trouble opening them or with the fonts and backgrounds use, update your version of PowerPoint to the latest available. Kansas City Free Clinic Students: Kansas City Free Clinic Website **KCFree is @ 3515 Broadway, but parking is on Central St., which is a one-way one block east of Broadway. You'll see a waist-high brick wall on the back side of the clinic. Park in that lot, or if it is close to full, continue down Central and park in the lot that is next to the apartments. To get in the clinic, go through the parking lot behind the clinic, in the door next to the garage door. Walk through the indoor parking and go up one floor, enter the reception area, and check in at the front desk. They'll take it from there! PRA637 (Thompson Technique) Grades - Grade sheet includes: "Misc", which is your class participation points for labs (out of 50), two quizzes of ten points each, and your midterm grade. I found 3 questions that the class did poorly on as a whole, so I took the test out of 94 points instead of 100 points. That gave the entire class a 6 point "curve" on the exam. I have also already factored the extra credit questions in on the test, so your midterm grade is your raw score + any extra credit points. Your overall grade for the course is your total points earned divided by 164 total points for the course so far. We'll have a few more quizzes and of course, the final practical. If you want to see your test, please do so within the next two weeks. See me during my CMR/Clinic Office Hour times (see my schedule above). |
